1. General Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are incorporated into all contracts between Elite Lawns Essex and the customer. All quoted maintenance plans include labour, materials and VAT (where applicable). Additional work that is not included in the maintenance plan shall be quoted as additional work and will include labour, materials and VAT (where applicable). Please familiarise yourself with what is included in your maintenance plan.

Elite Lawns Essex is not responsible for any lawn pests, diseases or problems that may occur after survey and quotation, or after your maintenance plan/additional work has commenced. Lawn pests, diseases and other problems can occur at any time, as we are working with a natural surface, and every lawn is different. We will recommend solutions to lawn pests,disease and other common problems and these recommendations will be quoted for as additional work to your maintenance plan.

Elite Lawns Essex cannot be held responsible for severe weather conditions or any other natural event that may follow after treatment or work has been completed.

Elite Lawns Essex cannot be held responsible for the condition of the lawn if any recommended treatments have been refused. Elite Lawns Essex also cannot be held responsible if any of the recommended aftercare procedures are not carried out by the customer (i.e. regular mowing, regular watering). Elite Lawns Essex cannot be held responsible for the condition of your lawn if regular watering throughout the year is not carried out.

Elite Lawns Essex cannot be held responsible for the effects of any chemicals that you personally apply to your lawn, and this includes any machine work.

You can cancel your maintenance plan with us at any time, all we request is 4 weeks’ notice.

2. Before and After Treatment Visits

Please leave your gate open/provide us access to your lawn on the day of treatment. If we are able to, we will secure your gate when the visit is complete. There is no need for you to be home when we complete your visit, unless you wish to be.

Please clear the lawn of any pet waste, furniture or outdoor play equipment. Your lawn treatments are safe for pets & children. Treated lawns should be kept off for either 24 hours or until the lawn has dried, once either of these has occurred your lawn is safe to be used again.

Please allow 2-3 days before cutting your lawn post treatment, this allows sufficient time for the products to enter the plant. Selective weed killer is most effective the longer it stays on the plant. Generally the weed killer will be absorbed into the plant in 24 hours, but it will take longer for the plant to completely disappear from your lawn. Weed killer cannot eradicate pre germinated plants, any weeds that emerge after application will be treated on the next visit.

Waste created from scarification or aeration will be placed in your council green waste bin (if available) or bagged and left for you to dispose of. We cannot remove the waste for you.

3. Treatment for Leather Jackets

If your lawn requires treatment for leather jackets, please note that more than one application may be required. Repeat treatments are charged for at the same rate as the first. No treatment will be completed without your approval.

4. Treatment for Disease

If your lawn requires treatment for disease, that one application will allow approx. 4 weeks of control. If conditions are favourable to the disease recurrence is possible. Additionalfungicide treatment may be necessary after this period has elapsed. Repeat treatments are charged for at the same rate as the first. No treatment will be completed without your approval. Fungicide treatments are to be used as a last resort. Treated lawns should be kept off for either 24 hours or until the lawn has dried, once either of these has occurred your lawn is safe to be used again.

6. Payment

Most customers on a maintenance plan choose to pay by direct debit via Go Cardless. For customers that pay on a ‘pay as you go’ basis an invoice will be issued after treatment and payment is due within 28 days. Our preferred method is by BACS, however cash or cheque is accepted.

7. Your personal information

Elite Lawns Essex does not share any of your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.We use your personal information to fulfil our contract with you. You can view our privacy notice on our website.
